Hello, friends!

Long ago, I started a blog on Blogger regarding my endeavors to write a novel for my AP Lang’s 20% project way back in 2014/2015. I thoroughly enjoyed blogging and I decided I wanted to do it recreationally. However, I didn’t get around to it until, well, right now.

So I’m back! Or, if you’re meeting me for the first time, I’m here! For those of you curious, my name is Jayda. I’m a recently graduated senior from high school and I’m on my way to  college soon. I’ve been a huge reader and aspiring writer my entire life. For a while, I kicked around the idea of a YouTube channel but, let’s be real, I’m a writer and my tongue is not quite as eloquent as my fingers. The best way for me to express my thoughts and opinions has always been through the written word. Maybe someday, YouTube. Maybe someday.

My previous blog addressed a book as I was writing the first draft. It was an entertaining experience and I anticipate addressing my current writing with this blog. The book then, presently titled Broken Rose, was a historical fiction about a young woman during World War I. Right now, I’m writing a contemporary fantasy about a pair of girls and their determination to save the magic in their Magician community. More on that as I write.

I anticipate this blog will be a conglomeration of writing tips, my writing struggles, writing updates, book or movie reviews, and pretty much anything literature related. If you’re interested, please follow me and I’ll do my best to keep you entertained.
