Hello, friends!
Yikes, I’m an awful blogger. I did not intend to neglect this blog, I really didn’t. I am sincerely sorry for not posting the past couple weeks.
Now for my excuses.
College! I’m in college, how about that? I’m currently an English major–I’ll make a separate post about that (and yes, I will actually do it). More pertinent to my excuse, I made the rookie mistake of taking 7 classes. I’m drowning in homework, plus orientation week was filled to the brim with socialization. This homework load has only been enhanced by my next excuse.
DragonCon! If you’re unfamiliar with the event, DragonCon is a nerd convention that takes place in Atlanta every year over Labor Day weekend. It’s filled with actors, writers, artists, vendors, and more. The number of people attending grows every year. I am currently blogging to you from my hotel room at the convention. This is the third year my mom and I have gone, and as usual, we’re having a blast. However, due to DragonCon, I had to miss two days of school (because apparently my college doesn’t give Labor Day off). This meant lots of extra work on my plate, stuff I’ve gotten done ahead of time or have had to work into my evenings at the convention. Unfortunately, due to these inconveniences, my mom and I may have to take a break from DragonCon until I finish college. I suppose we’ll see what happens next year.
On a more hopeful note, I expect to get into a more normal homework pattern once I return to school. This should mean I’ll get into a regular and reasonable schedule and have more time for blogging and writing. This convention and the city I live in for school are both incredibly inspiring for writing and I would love to actually find time to use that inspiration. I’ll update you with how that goes.
Sorry again for the blog neglect due to my big life change. For more current updates about me, you can view my YouTube channel, where you are always welcome to like, comment, or subscribe. Give this post a like if you sympathize with my current stress, and give me a follow to show you truly believe I’ll actually post more frequently once I get my life together again. Also, I’ve recently started tweeting more so if you want to see that part of the train wreck that currently is my life, you can find my social media on my About page.
Alright, that’s all for now. Thanks for reading!
The time to relax is when you don’t have time for it.
